Who we are
We are Cameroon Doctors in the United Kingdom (CamDocUK), an association of doctors, dentists, and other health professionals with ties to Cameroon who live and work in the UK. We are a non-political, non-denominational organisation aiming to encourage fellowship between our members and promote the growth of health and education within the Cameroonian Diaspora in the UK, back home in Cameroon, and across the globe. We bring together collective professional knowledge to advise on key challenges and drive improvements in healthcare development and promotion.
Educating the wider community
Our "Talking with the Community" Webinar Series
Since 2020, we have hosted over two dozen educational webinars on a variety of health topics, including Lifestyle Medicine, Participation in Medical Research, Diabetes, Vaccine Hesitancy, COVID-19, and more. We bring in expert speakers, giving them the opportunity to present and answer questions from the general public, with a focus on topics relevant to the wider Afro-Caribbean community living in the UK and abroad.

Mentoring the next generation
Beyond healthcare, we have also started our Young Cameroonian Professional Mentoring series where we invite established professionals from across different sectors, ranging from Law to IT to Engineering, to talk about their careers and answer questions from young people. Additionally many of our panelists have offered 1:1 mentoring to our attendees, allowing them to get advice from experts in their field and start networking.

A sense of community
We create a supportive environment where mentorship, peer learning, and open debate flourish. We hold regular in-person meetings across the year, with more frequent smaller virtual meet-ups such as our Journal Club.
